Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Highway Maintenance Technician with a CDL-A to perform maintenance operations in the Savannah, GA area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to roadway maintenance and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.
Clean driving record is essential
Must pass criminal background check
Required Experience:
  • CDL (Class A)
  • Heavy Equipment experience
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience

Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • Roadway maintenance or construction skills
  • MOT Certifications

Qualifications:
  • Must have transportation to and from Company office
  • Ability to take direction
  • Produce quality work in an efficient manner
  • Agree to comply with all of our safety processes and procedures
  • Willingness to maintain and operate construction tools in a safe and proper manner
  • Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
  • Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
  • Carry out simple arithmetic functions
  • Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
  • Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
  • Ability to use smart phone and applications
  • Ability to adjust to changing work schedule, work overtime, nights and weekends
  • Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required
  • Ability to operate hand/power tools
 
Schedule:
Full time; must be flexible and willing to work on-call and overtime as needed.
Salary:
$25+ depending on experience.
