About the Role:

The Local CDL Driver ensures the safe and timely transportation of goods between designated locations. This position requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B as required for the vehicle operated.
  • Clean driving record with no recent violations or accidents.
  • Ability to pass DOT physical examination and drug screening.
  • Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations applicable to commercial driving.
  • Experience operating commercial vehicles in a local delivery environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS navigation systems.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic cargo handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Strong customer service skills and experience interacting with clients during deliveries.
  • Additional endorsements on CDL such as Hazmat, Tanker, or Doubles/Triples.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently on local routes, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight to prevent damage during transit.
