Position Summary
Legacy Transportation is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Local CDL Class A Driver to join our growing team. This position is home daily and primarily operates within Utah and surrounding regional markets. Drivers are responsible for the safe and timely transportation of freight while delivering exceptional customer service at pickup and delivery locations.
Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any maintenance concerns.
  • Transport freight safely and efficiently to customer locations.
  • Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transit.
  • Maintain accurate electronic logs and required shipping documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding load status, delays, and delivery updates.
  • Ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
  • Represent Legacy Transportation professionally with customers, shippers, receivers, and the public.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and freight securement when required.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance of assigned equipment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company operating standards.
Qualifications
  • Valid Class A CDL.
  • Current DOT Medical Card.
  • Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
  • Clean MVR and safe driving record.
  • Ability to pass DOT drug screening and background requirements.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
  • Experience with reefer, dry van, or flatbed operations is a plus.
