Job description

Service Oiler

QAP is delighted to present an outstanding opportunity for a Service Oiler in Anchorage, Alaska. This role is crafted for ambitious individuals driven by a passion for flawless service and maintenance of vehicles and equipment. Joining us means becoming an integral part of a world-class team deeply committed to excellence and innovation. This position may require travel to remote sites as needed while supporting other QAP projects. This is a Union position and will require membership of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 302.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure flawless operation.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and successfully implement repairs as needed, strictly following safety guidelines.
  • Maintain detailed service records and logs, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Collaborate with the team to determine maintenance priorities and schedule work to improve efficiency.
  • Perform oil changes, lubrication services, and fluid checks to ensure efficient vehicle performance.
  • Assist in ordering and managing inventory of necessary parts and supplies, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards by taking part in continuous training and development programs.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a mechanic or service oiler, ideally in vehicle and equipment maintenance
  • Current Union member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 302.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and a strong dedication to safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and complete projects within strict deadlines.
  • Must have a valid CDL with a Hazmat endorsement.
  • Able to pass pre-employment and random drug tests.
  • Able to pass a Physical Abilities Test (PAT)
  • Work in various outdoor conditions.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and able to build cooperative working relationships with the team.
