Job description

Direct Loan Processor

Come join our Lending Team as a Direct Loan Processor!

The primary role of this position is to provide clerical and administrative loan support to process consumer loans. To accomplish this role must verify member provided documents, prepare direct loan documents, conduct quality control of loan documents and funding of those completed loans while delivering consistent, prominent levels of quality service and support to both internal and external members. This role is responsible for maintaining compliance with all required regulations and policies, including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) policies, procedures, and regulations.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Process and fund direct and indirect consumer loan applications, ensuring all loan documents, supporting documentation, and funding requirements comply with credit union policies and procedures. Serve as a primary point of contact for Loan Consultants, Underwriters, members, and dealerships by providing status updates, obtaining required documentation, resolving processing issues, and assisting with information gathering necessary to finalize loan decisions and funding.
  • Process and fund Premier Check loans, review and approve dealer drafts, and administer GAP claims in accordance with credit union policies and vendor requirements. Coordinate with dealerships, members, insurance carriers, and third-party providers to obtain required documentation, ensure timely claim resolution, and maintain accurate records throughout the funding and claims process.
  • Monitor title work, lien perfection reports, and related general ledger accounts to ensure collateral liens are properly secured within established timeframes. Prepare and distribute lending reports for management and committee review while maintaining accurate records and compliance standards.
  • Monitor and manage lending helpdesk requests and perform loan maintenance activities, including skip payments, due date changes, and other account servicing requests. Escalate unresolved issues as appropriate to ensure timely resolution.
