Overview

Job Summary:

Responsible for post-funding customer service and daily operations of all servicing related issues. Ensure compliance with all service-related company and investor policies and procedures. The duties for Interim Loan Servicing Specialist III include, but are not limited to, those described below.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and resolve complex servicing issues related to mortgage loan accounts.
  • Review and process loan transactions, payment adjustments, corrections, and account reconciliations.
  • Conduct research and analysis to resolve servicing discrepancies and borrower inquiries.
  • Monitor servicing activities to ensure compliance with company policies and investor guidelines.
  • Maintains department procedures and communicates with clients to ensure efficient transfer of servicing, accurate payment posting, remitting to investors and timely reporting.
  • Perform quality reviews of servicing transactions and customer communications.
  • Identify trends, servicing issues, and process improvement opportunities.  
  • Assist with developing and updating procedures and training materials.
  • Participate in testing and implementation of servicing system enhancements.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource for Mortgage Servicing Specialists I and II.
  • Assist management with special projects and departmental initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Five to seven years of experience with mortgage servicing, loan documentation and/or loan processing.
  • Working knowledge of regulations and guidelines governing mortgage servicing.
  • High school diploma

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal communication and business-relationship skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technologically proficient in MS windows software.                   
  • Proven negotiating skills and forecasting capabilities.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
