Job description

MATERIAL HANDLER - ROMEOVILLE, IL

Earn $550-$1,200+ Per Week!

      Freight Breakers is hiring motivated, dependable Material Handlers in Romeoville!

      This is a production-based position where your effort directly impacts your earnings. The more work you complete, the more you can make.

What You'll Be Doing: 

  •  Stack boxes from trailers onto wooden pallets.
  • Build stable, organized pallets as you unload freight.
  •  Once a pallet is full, use a pallet jack to move it to the designated floor/staging area.
  •  Bring a new pallet back to the trailer and repeat the process.
  • Work on a variety of loading and unloading assignments.
  • When you're not actively assigned to a truck, you will still be paid hourly while at work.

Pay: 

       Earn $550-$1,200+ per week!

       This is a production-based position with hourly pay when you are not working on a truck.

       Different trucks may have different production pay rates, giving you the opportunity to increase your weekly earnings based on your productivity.

       The more you do, the more you can make.

Schedule: 

  • Sunday - Wednesday Full-Time: 7:00 AM - 6:30 PM
  • Wednesday - Saturday Full-Time: 7:00 AM - 6:30 PM
  • Employees may be released earlier depending on daily workload, production goals, and completion of assigned work.

  • Work overtime when needed

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Reliable transportation
  • Steel-toe shoes required
  • Must arrive on time and be present for all scheduled shifts
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50-100 lbs.
  • Must be able to perform physical work for extended periods
  • Must be able to work consistently in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to meet or exceed production standards after training
  • Must be willing to work overtime when needed
