Job description

Summary of Position:
The role of the warehouse associate encompasses the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, both outgoing and incoming. Responsibilities include selecting products from the warehouse, loading and securing goods onto pallets, transporting inventory to the delivery area, and loading merchandise for shipment. Additionally, the associate will unload stock from delivery vehicles, transfer it to designated positions within the warehouse, and ensure proper storage. A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all relevant safety regulations, policies, and procedures is essential. The position entails various general warehouse duties with a primary focus on receiving. To achieve success in this role, the ability to follow instructions diligently and operate in an orderly manner is necessary. Ideal candidates will possess a strong work ethic, a focused demeanor, and exceptional problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
  • Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness, and safety of the work environment.
  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
  • Accepting delivery of inventory.
  • Counting and confirming inventory.
  • Inspecting inventory for damage and faults.
  • Communicating errors with relevant parties.
  • Marking and labeling stock.
  • Storing inventory in an accessible manner.
  • Loading and wrapping stock on pallets.
  • Building loads with forklift and electronic pallet jack.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Work experience as a general laborer, preferably in a refrigerated warehouse.
  • Ability to operate a forklift proficiently.
  • Strong people skills.
  • Good moral character.
  • Environmental - Willingness to work in a cold climate of 35°.
  • Physical requirements - Must be able to lift 49 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation and stand/walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Able to frequently push, pull, bend, squat, and reach.
  • Physically strong, agile, and dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions.
  • Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.
  • Available to work extended hours as needed.
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, reach truck, and electric pallet jack safely as required.
  • Available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and open to working weekends. Shifts hours 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
