Job Description
Central Transport is one of the nation's largest and fastest-growing Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) transportation carriers. With continued network expansion and record growth over the past several years, we're looking for dedicated, hardworking individuals to join our team at our Milwaukee, WI terminal.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Dock Worker, you'll play a critical role in the movement and organization of freight within our terminal. Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Loading, unloading, and staging customer freight and skids.
  • Building and organizing loads to prepare trailers for departure.
  • Using handheld scanners to ensure accurate freight inventory.
  • Coordinating efficient trailer loading and shipment preparation.
  • Operating a forklift for approximately 90% of your shift.
  • Recouping or repairing damaged pallets and freight as needed.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dock, trailers, and yard areas.

Job Qualifications:
  • Previous forklift experience (required).
  • Ability to safely handle freight using manual pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • A stable, consistent work history and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness and ability to pass a physical and background check.
  • A valid Driver's License is highly preferred.
