The Driver is responsible for proper loading/unloading and transportation of cargo to/from MOM’s Warehouse and MOM’s stores. This position is based out of MOM’s Warehouse in Elkridge, MD with approximately 80% of your time driving and 20% spent in the warehouse.
  1. Drive and operate trucks, pallet jack and forklifts.
  2. Comply with safe work practices, policies and obey traffic rules and regulations.
  3. Responsible for basic vehicle/other machinery maintenance.
  4. Inspect trucks to ensure the truck is safe and ready to operate (ex. ensuring proper loading, fuel levels).
  5. Maintain a clean and safe truck/equipment and work environment (ex. end of shift truck cleaning).
  6. Ensure truck/MOM’s property is properly secured.
  7. Load/unload cargo daily, verify for accuracy and deliver them as instructed.
  8. Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy (ex. driver manifests, packing slips, pallet identification).
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • DOT medical card holder; or ability to obtain a DOT medical card
  • 1-2 years experience driving and operating trucks
  • Knowledge of traffic laws
  • Experience operating pallet jack and forklift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day and stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Excellent customer service skills
The hourly rate for this role is $20-23/hr
