Job description

Shift: 6:00 AM-2:00 PMHourly Rate: $26.08 an hour + $0.00 shift differential
Reporting to the Distribution Supervisor, you will support warehouse and distribution operations by ensuring materials, packaging supplies, trailers, and finished goods move safely and efficiently throughout the facility. You will use warehouse systems, operate material handling equipment, coordinate shipping and receiving activities, maintain inventory accuracy, and help meet quality, safety, and customer service expectations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
A Taste of Your Responsibilities
  • Use SAP Warehouse Management systems to support warehouse operations and inventory accuracy.
  • Load and unload trucks following company requirements for trailer inspection, weight distribution, and load patterns.
  • Coordinate warehouse supply needs, including stretch wrap, pallets, slip sheets, and shipping dunnage.
  • Conduct physical inventories and inventory counts as requested.
  • Complete administrative tasks including email communication with carriers and transportation planners.
  • Support all warehouse functions and serve as backup for warehouse positions, including Production Planning Associate responsibilities when needed.
  • Maintain 5-S standards and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety requirements and engagement activities.
  • Follow all quality standards for shipping and receiving activities.
  • Comply with personal protective equipment requirements.
  • Prepare trailers for loading and unloading by opening dock doors, setting dock plates, inspecting trailers, and securing trailers.
  • Maintain knowledge of warehouse processes and receiving procedures.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized, including pallet management and waste removal.
  • Communicate material needs to warehouse leadership.
  • Complete trailer inspections and documentation.
  • Operate a yard truck to move trailers to and from dock locations as qualified and certified.
  • Receive, inspect, verify, and store incoming materials and products.
  • Identify freight discrepancies, damage, or infestation concerns and report findings.
  • Move and store products using approved equipment and storage procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs.

  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Experience using SAP Warehouse Management systems.
  • Forklift operation experience and successful completion of forklift certification requirements.
  • Knowledge of warehouse, shipping, receiving, and inventory processes.
  • Basic computer skills, including email communication and data entry.
  • Basic math skills and calculator proficiency.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Follow instructions and established procedures.
  • Work safely while meeting company performance standards.
  • Complete required orientation, food safety, safety, and operational training programs.
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Procedures.
  • Completion of Lockout/Tagout training and certification requirements.
  • Understanding of Safety Data Sheet information related to materials used in the work area.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Work scheduled hours and required overtime as needed.
