LOADER/OPERATOR
Essential job duties and responsibilities:
Effectively operate all freezer/warehouse equipment required to ship products which include palletizer, jam pool, plastic/wood pallets, speed doors, forklift, shrink wrap machine, Operation of Robot, inventory system, loading docks, and conveyors
Complete required documentation associated with the position accurately while working in a fast paced environment
Ability to make decisions while multi-tasking with little or no supervision
Ability to guide and train back-up associates to meet deadlines
Ability to problem solve and clearly communicate in written form
Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills and be detail oriented
Responsible for attending and participating in assigned training sessions related to GMPs, SOPs, HACCP and SQF; applying and demonstrating obtained knowledge and following all procedures and policies related to food safety
Responsible for keeping work area safe and clean
Adheres to all safety guidelines for job performed
Perform duties as assigned by supervisor
Responsible for meeting all quality, sanitation and production standards
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to work continually in a warm/hot environment (100 degrees) or cold environment (-20 degrees)
Required to lift and pull up to 50 pounds
Required to carry items up to 50 pounds
Required to work while standing for periods up to 12 hours
Regularly required to bend, reach, pull, stoop, kneel, climb, and reach
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to obtain certification and operate a forklift
Ability to use Excel, Word and Outlook proficiently
Communicate effectively - read, write and speak English
Ability to perform each essential function satisfactory
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
Safety eyewear and hearing protection are required
Protective clothing, hair net and gloves are required
All PPE related to GMPs is required
Respirator and other PPE may be required based on tasks being performed
