Job Summary
The Warehouse Associate will handle receiving, stocking, purchase orders, shipping, loading, selecting, and sanitation. This role will be cross-functional and assist one or more distribution functions.
Essential Functions of the Role
  • Raises, loads, conveys, and processes products by hand or equipment. Moves items from inbound trucks to use points and storage.
  • Operate material handling equipment, RF scanners, and handheld devices. Read monitors and interpret distribution data.
  • Sorts, consolidates, and transports products before stocking, replenishing, loading, and unloading. Attaches identifying tags to containers or marks them with identifying information for customer ease of use.
  • Validate shelf life and product integrity for patient care standards. Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects. Report any damage to supervisors.
  • Manually stacks and unstacks, builds, packs, and unpacks pallets or cargo boards. Orders product weighing up to or over 50 pounds.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment and product usability for health care customers.
  • May be responsible for managing accurate receiving and documenting incoming freight. Expedite outgoing return shipments within the timeframe set by management.
  • May be accountable for identifying, troubleshooting, and reconciling issues from junior warehouse Associates. Respond to escalated issues to find a solution or decide if escalation to the next supervisory level is needed.

  • Possesses effective communication skills both receiving and giving instruction in writing and orally, and follow standard operating procedures.

  • Ability to identity, recommend and document, via electronic methods, process improvements.
  • Have organizational skills to prioritize relevant job tasks and communicate where help is needed.
  • Ability to learn and comprehend RF and warehouse management software applications and theory preferred.
  • Ability to work in a safe, productive and accurate fashion continuously for 8-10 hours a shift.
