Job description

Custom Wood Products is looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join the Delivery team. The Loader/Unloader will be responsible for loading and unloading cabinets for delivery to customer homes. Our Delivery team are brand ambassadors, and provide top notch, red carpet customer service on the delivery experience to every customer they encounter.
Essential Functions:
  • Loads, secures and protects product in delivery vehicle and safely transport merchandise without damage.
  • Verify product information and accessories to ensure it matches for deliveries and returns.
  • Offload the merchandise for our customers safely.
  • On non-delivery or low delivery days, works in woodshop in duties defined by plant manager or designee to include assembling cabinets, sanding, staining, painting, operating machinery, etc. to help produce final quality product.
  • Adheres to safety protocols and conducts work in safe manner.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills, including being courteous and professional
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. without help and up to 300 lbs. with assistance
  • Previous experience in warehouse, furniture moving, or other related physical work preferred
  • Ability to work schedule of hours varying from 7 am to 7 pm
  • Ability to read/interpret shop drawings, and utilize and read tape measure
  • Must have keen eye for detail and producing high quality products (free of defects/errors)
  • Must be able to learn to operate woodworking machinery, equipment, and hand tools
