Job description

Title: Delivery Helper

Location: Danvers, MA

Manager: Delivery Manager

Job Type: Full Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt

Job Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:15am - 1:00pm - 5:00pm; depending on route and daily workload

Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00/hr; $18.00/hr start

Objective: Delivery Helpers are paired with CDL Drivers for each truck route. Primary responsibilities of Delivery Helpers are to assist with navigation and to unload and deliver products to each account.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-sold products accurately and efficiently to customer accounts.
  • Rotate stock and place products appropriately in dry and refrigerated storage areas.
  • Ensure all pallets loaded onto the truck are secure and stable for transport.
  • Collect empty containers and returns as required by the supplier.
  • Load and return dunnage, pallets, and load bars to the warehouse to be returned to the supplier.
  • Maintain a courteous, professional, and respectful attitude toward customers and team members.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age. This is a legal requirement to transport alcohol.
  • Strong safety-oriented mindset and adherence to safe driving practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday starting at 7:15 AM; end times may vary between 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM depending on route and delivery volume.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, often in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold.

  • Must be able to lift approximately 55 lbs (e.g., two cases of beer).
  • Must be able to operate a two-handed hand truck on inclines and stairs.
  • Requires frequent walking up and down stairs and inclines.
  • Must have sufficient vision and hearing to perform job duties safely and effectively.
