Job description

The Load Crew Manager is responsible for the efficient, safe and accurate picking/loading of the delivery trucks and performing the assigned warehouse maintenance tasks that accompany the position.
Primary duties include managing 25-30 load crew members (pickers/verifiers/loaders) and making sure 35 delivery routes are loaded efficiently and accurately while maintaining company standards. Develop and maintain a work schedule for all warehouse load crew employees and require their adherence to it. Prior to starting the loading process, review the total quantity to be pulled and the trucks that are to be loaded. Discuss any space concerns with the Warehouse and Delivery Manager. Supervisor all warehouse load crew employees to ensure they are performing their assigned duties in an efficient manner. Direct their efforts in conjunction with the Team Leader. Build loads for each route in the most efficient manner. Ensure loads are done accurately and neatly. Require that all possible steps are taken to prevent the loss of product through pilferage, damage or aging. Be aware of the code dates and load the oldest products first. Conduct performance reviews on all warehouse employees with the assistance of your supervisor. Report any accidents to Warehouse Manager immediately. Maintain open and clear communications with the owner, managers and other employees of the company. Dress in uniform and maintain personal appearance in a professional manner and according to company policy. Conduct all load crew activities within the guidelines of all company policies and procedures, Conduct all of your activities in accordance to the local, state and federal alcohol control regulations. Perform all work activities in accordance to the safe work practices, policies and procedures. Adhere to all established inventory control procedures and practices. Secure building and grounds and set security system before leaving for the evening. Adapt to any new responsibilities required by the Warehouse Manager.
This is a full-time regular position, Monday through Friday, and depending on the needs of the night, are expected to stay until all orders are picked, loaded and all work is completed.
Candidate will possess good communication skills and will have a strong commitment to safety and training. Qualified candidates will be able to lift up to 30 pounds repetitiously.
Must be able to stand, walk, sit, carry, push, pull, stoop, bend, kneel, reach for an extended period of time.
Candidate must have the ability to read, understand merchandise pricing and demonstrate basic math skills related to the same.
