Job description

Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative LMS Administrator to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard.
Responsibilities
  • Manage daily LMS operations: user accounts, roles, enrollments, course catalog updates, and learner records.
  • Upload, publish, and maintain courseware packages, SCORM content, interactive modules, and multimedia instructional assets.
  • Configure course settings, learning paths, prerequisites, scheduling, and reporting options to support classroom, virtual, and distributed delivery.
  • Monitor LMS performance, resolve user access and content functionality issues, and respond to help-desk tickets related to accounts and permissions.
  • Validate course functionality via pre-deployment testing, pilot reviews, and post-deployment feedback; apply fixes and update content as needed.
  • Generate training reports, dashboards, and completion summaries for leadership, Training Centers, and program offices.
  • Coordinate with instructional designers, training developers, and system administrators for content deployment, integration, and configuration changes.
  • Maintain metadata, course descriptions, SOPs, and documentation to ensure auditability, compliance, and sustainment.
  • Support LMS patching, version updates, authentication integrations, and system maintenance activities with IT administrators.

Qualifications
  • 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Candidate must meet ONE of the following:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field; OR
    • Relevant DoD/military training (example: Army Task Management Training); OR
    • Relevant professional certification or equivalent experience (examples: CompTIA Security+; Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM)).
  • Required experience and skills:
    • LMS administration, instructional technology, or training operations experience.
    • Hands-on experience with LMS platforms (SCORM/Tin Can/xAPI support), user/role management, content packaging, and reporting.
    • Proficiency in course upload/publishing workflows, metadata management, enrollment automation, and completion tracking.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills for user access, content playback, and integration issues; ability to coordinate with IT for system maintenance.
    • Ability to produce audit-quality training records, compliance artifacts, and routine operational reports.
  • Desired:
    • Prior DoD/ARNG training systems or training center support experience.
    • Experience with LMS integrations (SSO, HR/LMS connectors), automated reporting pipelines, and learning analytics.
    • Familiarity with SCORM/HTML5 authoring tools, LMS admin scripting, and content lifecycle management.

Target Salary Range
$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
