At CHCP (The College of Health Care Professions), we're looking for a dedicated Externship Coordinator to support our Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) students as they transition from the classroom into real-world clinical environments.

In this role, you'll serve as a key bridge between students, faculty, and healthcare partners, ensuring meaningful externship experiences that lead to career success.

What You'll Do
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with healthcare facilities for externship placements
  • Ensure a seamless, compliant externship process aligned with state, federal, and accreditation standards
  • Coordinate student placements and support their transition into hands-on clinical training
  • Conduct site visits and maintain communication with site supervisors
  • Monitor student progress and provide guidance and support throughout the externship experience
  • Organize and maintain accurate records, including timesheets, evaluations, and feedback
  • Lead externship orientations and act as the primary liaison between students, faculty, and sites
  • Support students with professional development, including resume building and interview preparation
  • Collaborate with Career Services to track and improve job placement outcomes
  • Maintain affiliation agreements and ensure accurate documentation in CampusVue
  • Conduct final evaluations and exit reviews to assess student success

  • Completion of an LMRT Program or Certificate with at least 3 years of professional experience, OR Radiologic Technology Associate's Degree with at least 2 years of professional experience
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple relationships and processes effectively
