Stream Controller (Part-Time)

Stream Controller (Part-Time)

Atmosphere TV

Austin, TX • On-site

Part-time

Posted 7 days ago

Job description

About Atmosphere:

Atmosphere is the leading streaming TV platform built specifically for businesses. Unlike ad networks or signage companies, Atmosphere is the only true TV company whose first priority is to entertain television audiences outside of the home. Our content is designed to be fun, engaging, and worth watching, transforming waiting rooms, gyms, bars, and restaurants into better experiences for customers and better businesses for owners.

We are the first and only company to think about both the business owner and their customers when creating TV content. With 60,000+ venues and a global audience of over 150 million monthly viewers, Atmosphere is redefining what TV means outside the living room.

About the Role:

Atmosphere is seeking a disciplined and communicative Stream Controller to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will manage the lifecycle of a live event on Atmosphere, maintaining quality control and escalating any technical or content issues.

This part-time, event-based role offers flexible hours (up to 29 per week) that vary based on the live event schedule. While hours are not guaranteed and some weeks may have no shifts, this flexibility makes it an excellent opportunity for students or those balancing other commitments. Evening and weekend availability is required.

You’ll gain hands-on experience supporting live events while working closely with Content and Engineering leadership at one of the largest live streaming platforms for businesses, offering valuable exposure, mentorship, and a front-row seat to how high-impact events are produced at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the start and end of live feeds
  • Monitor the technical quality of the feed for visual artifacts and other issues
  • Monitor the programming of the feed, ensuring that the content meets the standards set by the Content and Engineering leadership teams
  • Manage and monitor multiple live feeds running in parallel, with varying start and end times
  • Communicate and report any issues in a timely manner via Slack
  • Adhere to Atmosphere's Standard Operating Procedures

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in content production (digital, social, or TV)
  • Strong communication and escalation skills
  • Strong editorial and programming judgment
  • Ability to manage project feeds under tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive, solutions-focused approach to work
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

Compensation:

  • $15.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience

Our Commitment to Diversity:

Don’t meet every single requirement? Research shows that women and underrepresented groups often hesitate to apply unless they meet all the criteria. At Atmosphere, we’re committed to building a diverse, inclusive team where creativity, innovation, and teamwork thrive. If you're excited about this role but your experience doesn’t perfectly align with every qualification, we still encourage you to apply—you might be the right fit for this or another role.
