Job description

Online Production Director

The Online Production Director will lead a video team that oversees the creative and functional use of live video related to the SE Online Live Stream Broadcast elements and other SECC events online.

The objective of this role is to champion creativity and innovation within the SE Online Broadcast, create unique content for SE Online, as well as oversee the development of staff, contractors, and volunteers for all weekend services, special events, and programs that are live streamed from the BB Campus.

The ideal candidate will have professional experience in and a firm understanding of film and broadcast production, videography, lighting, composition, editing, and technical aspects of the gear as well as being a storyteller that uses their gifts to creatively share the Gospel around the world.

  • Strong creative development skills as well as technical skills
  • Proven ability to recruit, shepherd, and empower volunteers and contractors
  • Mastery in video production and editing, as well as the use of cinematography tools
  • Competency in live video broadcast production, and delivery to various online platforms
  • Mastery in Adobe Premiere After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, etc
  • Proficiency in Color Grading
  • Flexible with change and calm demeanor under pressure
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

What you will be doing

  • Direct all aspects of the SE Online segments during Sunday broadcasts
  • Develop, film & edit creative and storytelling videos
  • Create weekly motion graphics packages for broadcast
  • Create SE Online marketing collateral
  • Compose, light, and supervise shooting for the weekly live-streaming broadcasts
  • Effectively lead contractors and volunteers in on-location filming for the live streaming broadcast
  • Collaborate with designers to create graphics packages and asset packages for SE Online branding

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all technical facets of a weekly live broadcast including: Loading of graphical assets, scouting locations, preparing gear, pre-lighting camera setups, etc.
  • Collaborate with other ministry associates including video production/engineering and IT, as well as third-party vendors
  • Live direct weekly broadcasts on Sundays as well as additional live experiences as needed
  • Archive and manage data
  • Data manage all web on-demand assets associated with broadcast
  • Research and collaborate with the Video Engineer to set up new gear needs as well as implement live video improvement and upgrade plans
