As a Fab Operator, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing of electronic components to a given schedule using a range of equipment and processes with a cleanroom environment.
This position is shift-based with multiple positions across 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift, Monday through Friday.
1st Shift hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.
2nd shift hours: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM.
3rd shift hours: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM.
What you'll do:
  • Processing of material to the required quality standards and standard operating procedures.
  • Preparation of materials and tooling to applied standards.
  • Undertake periodic quality checks on equipment and processes, as specified.
  • Gathering and recording of data.
  • Carry out visual inspection of product according to the device specific criteria.
  • Identify non-compliant material or abnormal events, taking appropriate action as detailed in applied specifications.
  • Contribute improvement activities and participate within working groups.
  • Achieve production targets by undertaking tasks according to specified plan and priorities using local decision making to account for material and equipment availability.
  • Interface with maintenance and engineering staff regularly throughout a shift.
  • Comply with Environmental Health and Safety regulations within the working environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Able to work as an independent contributor and/or with others within a group to satisfy manufacturing commitments.
  • An eye for detail to sort units and determine defects modes during in-line inspections to ensure the utmost quality is achieved throughout the processing areas.
  • Raise any issues as they arise with the appropriate team(s) within the organisation. Operators likely interface with engineers, maintenance technicians and other facets within the organisation on a daily basis.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment, wearing the necessary cleanroom attire.
  • Ability to work strictly to quality standards and specifications.
  • Excellent manual dexterity, working with small parts.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent attendance record, with reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Google Docs and Google Sheets, and standard data entry systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous working experience with Snap Inc. is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a cleanroom environment, wearing the necessary cleanroom attire.
  • Previous experience working with tweezers, handling small parts.
  • Use of microscopes to perform and judge defects during an inspection.
  • Able to sit or stand for long periods of time to perform work duties.
  • Able to work occasional overtime, as needed.

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position.These pay zones may be modified in the future.
Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):
The base hourly range for this position is $31.73-$47.11 hourly.
Zone B:
The base hourly range for this position is $30.28-$44.71 hourly.
Zone C:
The base hourly range for this position is $26.92-$39.9 hourly.
This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
