Job description

Entertainment Sound Technician

The Entertainment Sound Technician (SOUN) is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of all sound systems in the various entertainment venues for a variety of produced entertainment, events, and activities. Completion of high school or basic education equivalency required. Bachelors or Associates in Technical Theater, Sound, Lights, A/V preferred, or demonstrated equivalent experience is preferred. Background in stage, technical theatre and production, including proper microphone placement technique, stage monitor engineering, mixing live scripted and timecode-based shows experience is required. Minimum 2 years' experience with live theatrical and musical performances, including vocalists, orchestras/musicians, and automated playback systems. Should be proficient in programming and operation of sound consoles, both analog and digital. Should have knowledge and understanding of network-based audio distribution and system signal flow.
