Job description


The Litter worker picks up and disposes of litter from roadways per contracts. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. FT, $11.50 an hour. Mon-Fri 730a-330p
Ensures all operational and safety procedures are properly followed, maintaining a clean and safe work area. Picks up and disposes of defined litter on the right-of-way. Assists supervisor in set-up and removal of traffic warning signs.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. This is a part-time position.
The employee will be exposed to traffic. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee will be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day at multiple, able to reach with hands and arms, must frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Individual must be able to see and hear traffic.
No travel is expected for this position. The employee must pass a drug screen, strength test, and WSC background check.
