The Department of State Hospitals- Napa, Registry Department is currently accepting applications for Permanent, Intermittent Psychiatric Technician Assistants(S) (PTA) vacancies. We are seeking PTA(S) who are committed to supporting DSH-Napa Registry Pool with duties related to escorting patients to and from on grounds clinics, Family Visitors Center, Community hospital, Program/Unit and Central Staffing Office coverage. Permanent, Intermittent employees work up to 1500 hours per fiscal year. In order to maintain a position in the Registry all permanent, intermittent employees are required to work a minimum of: Twelve (12) 8-hour shifts per calendar month at least six (6) of which must be weekend shifts; Three (3) major holidays and three (3) high need days per calendar year must be worked (requirements are defined in registry guidelines). These minimum requirements are based on current operational need and may be subject to change.
