SETTING

Campus events and productions

Core Responsibilities

Production support. Set up, operate, monitor, and safely strike cameras, audio equipment, tripods, cables, computers, and related production tools.

Live event coverage. Carry out assigned roles for athletics, campus programs, ceremonies, interviews, promotional content, and other NCMC events.

Storytelling and promotion. Capture clear footage and audio that present NCMC, its people, and its programs accurately and positively.

Team execution. Accept assignments, arrive prepared and on time, communicate clearly, follow the production plan, and support teammates.

Quality and care. Check equipment and signal flow, identify problems early, protect PDM assets, organize files and gear, and report damage or technical issues promptly.

Learning and representation. Learn new tools, accept coaching, solve problems, and represent PDM and NCMC through professional behavior, communication, appearance, and work ethic.

Qualifications and Attributes

Positive attitude toward technology, production work, teamwork, and serving people. Willingness to learn on the job, ask good questions, solve problems, and take ownership of assigned work. Dependability, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions in a live-event environment. Clear, respectful communication and the maturity to represent PDM and NCMC well. Interest in cameras, audio, editing, graphics, live streaming, social media, sports production, or digital storytelling is helpful; prior professional experience is not required. Flexible availability for assigned events, including some evenings or weekends; athletic-event assignments may last up to five hours. The role may require standing for extended periods, moving around event spaces, handling cables, and lifting or carrying production equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be available for qualified individuals; questions should be directed to the appropriate NCMC office.ย
