Job description

About the Show

"Walk With m(E)" is an innovative, on-the-go video podcast that breaks the mold of traditional studio interviews. We take to the streets of San Antonio with local leaders, entrepreneurs, and dynamic personalities to have raw, moving conversations centered on three pillars: Faith, Family, and Business. By moving physically, we lower walls and capture authentic, deep insights into how our guests navigate their personal convictions, family dynamics, and professional lives.

Job Summary

We are seeking a tech-savvy, agile, and visually creative Field Production Intern to act as our one-person mobile camera crew and digital content producer. You will be responsible for the technical execution of our walking interviews-managing mobile audio, stabilizing video, and keeping pace on the streets-as well as helping package the final content into high-impact social media assets for Instagram and YouTube.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mobile Production Setup: Prep and operate mobile recording gear before each walk (e.g., wireless lavalier mics, wind muffs, smartphones/compact cameras, and gimbals).

  • On-the-Move Camera Operation: Walk alongside or ahead of the host and guest, maintaining steady framing, clean lighting, and tracking shots without interrupting the organic flow of conversation.

  • Active Audio Monitoring: Monitor live audio levels via headphones to ensure traffic, wind, or city noise do not drown out the dialogue.

  • Route Scouting: Collaborate with the host to scout and map out visually engaging, pedestrian-friendly walking routes in San Antonio (e.g., The Pearl, King William, Southtown) that match the episode's vibe.

  • Social Media Editing & Optimization: Cut raw footage into highly engaging vertical clips (Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) featuring sharp hooks, clean transitions, and automated captions designed to drive engagement.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Mobile Gear Literacy: Experience with wireless audio systems (e.g., DJI Mic, Rode Wireless) and mobile stabilizers or gimbals.

  • Physical Stamina & Spatial Awareness: Ability to walk backward or sideways while holding equipment steady, remaining fully aware of your surroundings (traffic, curbs, bystanders).

  • Sharp Editing Instincts: Proficiency in CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or Final Cut Pro, with an understanding of how to pace short-form video for social media algorithms.

  • San Antonio Knowledge: Familiarity with the city's unique neighborhoods, culture, and spots.

  • Values Alignment: Comfortable operating around conversations focused on personal faith, family values, and business ethics with the utmost respect and maturity.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly Pay: Standard Texas minimum wage, for production and editing hours.

  • College Credit Available: We will gladly work with your academic advisor to fulfill internship credit requirements for digital media, communications, or marketing majors.

  • Networking: Direct exposure to prominent San Antonio business leaders, creators, and entrepreneurs.

  • Portfolio Building: Hands-on experience building a brand and production framework from the ground up, with creative input on short-form content strategy.
