The Health Center Association of Nebraska (HCAN) is actively recruiting a Senior Accountant to join our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Gering, Nebraska, where you will be responsible for assisting the CFO in monitoring the activities of the organization's fiscal activities.

Your Role:
  • Provide financial information and statements to internal and external users
  • Assist in oversight of the efficient operations of department systems and programs
  • Provide guidance and leadership in compliance with the organization's accounting policies, procedures, and GAAP
  • Maintain and balance asserts and liability accounts
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly grant reports
  • Review daily transactions including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and oversee general ledger
  • Prepare and process payroll bimonthly
  • Supervise two Accounting Specialists

What We Are Looking For:
  • Associate's Degree in Business and Accounting required; Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred
  • Minimum of two years of accounting experience required
  • Two years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Advanced Excel experience required
  • Non-profit accounting experience preferred
