JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Maintenance Manager Liaison (Farm Ops) DATE: 8/2026

REPORTS TO: Assistant Live Ops Manager STATUS:Exempt

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for oversight of the preventative maintenance process implementation, communication to the grower partners, and the reporting process for all grower equipment in both the broiler and breeder locations.

DAILY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Responsible for the creation and implementation of the preventative maintenance tracking system for all grower operations.
  2. Travels to all grower sites to ensure company support of grower equipment preventative maintenance initiatives.
  3. Coaches' growers on the importance of preventative maintenance and provides data driven statistics to validate the information provided to the growers.
  4. Manages the communication of elective maintenance initiatives throughout all grower operations and audits compliance.
  5. Recommend and facilitate process improvement processes to align with strategic planning for farm operations, when requested.
  6. Liaise with grower partners to aid in preventative maintenance system installation and sustainment, when requested.
  7. Attend any recommended seminars, meetings, vendor training, and company initiatives.
  8. Effectively communicate with HR, Live Technicians, Live Management Team, Preventative Maintenance Group and growers if conflict or dilemmas arise.
  9. Provide consistent updates to the Assistant Live Operations Manager on project progress, barriers, and performance outcomes.
  10. Support leadership in strategic planning.
  11. Adhere to all company safety policies and initiatives.
  12. All other duties not listed but requested by Senior Leadership.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:

  1. MUST possess a minimum of five years' work experience in a related field, including previous management experience directly managing a program or initiative.
  2. MUST have outstanding project management skills and ability to manage the workloads of others who do not report to the company.
  3. MUST have proficient business and technical skills in areas of auditing performance, maintenance terminology and preventative maintenance systems.
  4. MUST possess exceptional business knowledge and customer service skills to connect grower partners to the business processes.
  5. MUST have thorough knowledge of animal welfare programs and company goals.
  6. MUST possess skills in communicating in a courteous and professional manner, both verbally and in writing to all levels of the complex, especially grower partners.
  7. MUST have exceptional time management and prioritizing skills.
  8. MUST be able to work with limited supervision and be highly self-motivated to ensure all work goals are met.
  9. MUST know how to effectively utilize a personal computer and a variety of software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  10. MUST be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  11. MUST have a valid driver's license with a clean driving history and the ability to be insured to drive a company vehicle.
  12. Ability to stand or walk through barns on uneven surfaces.
  13. Ability to reflect the values of our company in public settings.
  14. Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including to be on-call if emergent situations arise. This person will be required to work the hours that the growers are available to them.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  1. Experience in farm machinery maintenance and working with a CMS system is preferred.
  2. Higher education in leadership, agriculture, machinery maintenance or a related field is preferred, however experience in lieu of degree will always be considered.
