We are seeking: Senior Living Chaplain
Location: Dane County area (Stoughton, Middleton, Fort Atkinson)
Schedule: 1.0FTE, full-time
Wage: $62,000-$66,000 annually

The Senior Living Chaplain is responsible for the provision of spiritual care services and support to residents and families/caregivers of multiple Senior Living communities, either directly or through coordination of care with other spiritual counselors. The chaplain provides spiritual guidance and emotional support during change, grief, injury, illness, and joy. The chaplain performs religious services and leads prayer and rituals in accordance with denominational endorsement and/or client preference. The chaplain is instrumental in recognition of general mental wellbeing patterns. As a practitioner of an interdisciplinary approach to care, the chaplain offers direct input to interdisciplinary teams, care conferences and resident plans of care to ensure residents live the way they choose to live in the second half of life. The chaplain operates in a pluralistic, multicultural, multiracial, spiritual landscape and owe it to clients, colleagues, and selves to attend to every effort that maintains freedom of religious/spiritual expression across all variances. Senior Living Chaplains may serve multiple communities at a time.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Master of Divinity or equivalent degree from an accredited theological seminary, ecclesiastical endorsement from faith group, ordination, or commissioning by faith group, and certified or certifiable by the Association of Professional Chaplains.
  • Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) experience or equivalent preferred.
