Job description

Shifts:

  • 2nd shift: Monday-Friday 6pm-2:30am ( $18.10/hr)
  • B Crew: (Tues.-Fri.) 6pm-6am ( $18.10/hr)
  • C Crew (Split Shift): Friday & Saturday 6am-6pm AND Sunday & Monday 6pm-6am ( $18.30/hr)

Pay: Starting at $17.75/hr (plus shift premiums)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse by managing the movement of materials and products. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse processes, safety protocols, and the ability to operate various equipment.

Duties

  • Load and unload materials from trucks and containers using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks, hi-los, and forklifts
  • Accurately track inventory levels using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and RF scanners to ensure proper stock levels are maintained.
  • Organize and store materials in designated areas to optimize space and accessibility.
  • Assist in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring all products are accounted for and properly documented.
  • Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure safety compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to build pallets for shipment while adhering to quality control standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety protocols to prevent accidents.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and RF scanning technology is advantageous.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment such as clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes safely.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Physical stamina to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
  • A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to OSHA regulations.
