About this role:

As an Orthopedic Spine Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP; nurse practitioner or physician assistant) at Intermountain Health, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. This position will support a growing practice of a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon based at Utah Valley Hospital and Clinic.

In this role you can anticipate:

  • Practicing at Utah Valley Hospital and Utah Valley Clinic in Provo, UT
  • Working 4x10's with a mix of OR and clinic days (Thursdays off)
  • First-assisting in surgical cases, inpatient rounding, clinic new-patient and follow-up appointments, etc.
  • Practice answering service to be shared with other providers (1:4); no ER call requirement

An ideal candidate will have APP OR experience and experience in neurosciences or orthopedics.

  • APRN or PA-C degree from an accredited program
  • Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
  • BLS certification and DEA
  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process

Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
