Aver Sign Company is seeking a motivated Sign Technician to join our installation team. This position is ideal for individuals with construction, skilled trades, general labor, maintenance, or related experience who are interested in building a career in the sign industry.
As a Sign Technician, you will work alongside experienced installers to assist with the installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of commercial signage. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn.
Essential Responsibilities

Installation Support

·       Assist with the installation of interior and exterior signage
·       Help install channel letters, cabinet signs, monument signs, wall signs, dimensional lettering, vinyl graphics, and wayfinding systems
·       Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment to job sites
·       Prepare installation areas and assist with project setup and cleanup
·       Follow installation instructions, drawings, and work orders
·       Assist with sign maintenance and repair projects
·       Replace sign components, lighting elements, and hardware as directed
·       Perform routine inspections and service work
·       Support troubleshooting efforts under the guidance of experienced technicians
 
Qualifications

·       Previous experience in construction, carpentry, electrical work, maintenance, landscaping, general labor, or a related field preferred
·       No sign industry experience required; training will be provided
·       Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools
·       Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
·       Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
·       Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record or Chauffeur preferred
 
 

Physical Requirements

·       Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
·       Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
·       Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting
·       Comfortable working at heights after appropriate training
·       Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the day
