What You'll Do:
As a Utility Locator, you'll be the go-to expert for identifying and mapping underground utilities like cables, and conduits. Using advanced tools like GPS, blueprints, and locating equipment, you'll help prevent costly and dangerous utility strikes before they happen.
Your day-to-day will include:
  • Accurately locating and marking underground facilities using electronic locating equipment.
  • Collaborating with contractors, engineers, and internal teams to ensure safe digging practices.
  • Prioritizing and managing your workload independently.
  • Attending training sessions and staying up to date on safety regulations and best practices.

What You Bring:
  • A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • The ability to work independently and adapt to changing schedules and environments.
  • Respect for safety protocols and a team-first mindset.
  • 1+ year of experience in construction or utility locating preferred.
  • Familiarity with GPS and utility mapping tools preferred.

Work Environment:
This is an outdoor role, so you'll need to be comfortable working in all weather conditions. You'll be on your feet, bending, kneeling, and occasionally lifting equipment. You'll also spend a good portion of your day driving between job sites.
Travel:
This position requires continuous driving in a work vehicle throughout the duration of the work shift and prolonged sitting.
