About the Role:

The Utility Locator plays a critical role in the construction industry by accurately identifying and mapping underground utilities to ensure safe excavation and construction activities. This position requires meticulous attention to detail to prevent damage to existing infrastructure such as water, gas, electrical, and telecommunications lines. The Utility Locator collaborates closely with construction teams, engineers, and project managers to provide precise utility location data that supports project planning and execution. By utilizing specialized detection equipment and interpreting utility maps, the Utility Locator helps mitigate risks, reduce project delays, and maintain compliance with safety regulations. Ultimately, this role is essential for protecting public safety, minimizing costly repairs, and facilitating efficient construction operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience operating utility locating equipment such as electromagnetic locators and ground-penetrating radar.
  • Basic understanding of construction site safety protocols and utility infrastructure.
