Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a FL or compact RN license and at least 2 years of hospital OR experience.

Details
  • Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting
  • Responsible for scrubbing and/or circulating duties for operative procedures
  • 10-hour shifts scheduled from 0630 to 1700
  • 40 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
  • Call requirement of 7 shifts over a six-week period, including 3 weekend and 4 weekday shifts
Requirements
  • Active FL or compact RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent OR experience in a US hospital setting required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA only)
  • CNOR certification preferred
  • Two manager or supervisor references verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
Additional Information
  • Perform patient admissions to the operative suite and adhere to standards and aseptic techniques
  • Consult and coordinate with team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans
  • Serve as a communication liaison between patients, families, and the operating team
  • Prepare the operating room, assemble equipment and supplies, and ensure equipment functionality and availability of implants
  • Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
