Job Profile:

Community-based or Faculty - Assistant Professor | Department of Pediatrics | Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine

Position Summary:

The Division at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and Children's Wisconsin (CW), seeks a board certified / board eligible physician to join our expandingDivision. This position is located in Neenah, WI at Children's Fox Valleyhospital campus. We are comprised of nationally and internationally renowned, dedicated group of faculty and staff with a strong commitment to clinical care.

Position Highlights:

  • Join a dedicated, collegial, and growing team of 14 pediatric hospitalists and two APPs.

  • Full-time opening working 6-7 shifts per month. 2,000 clinical hours annually worked as 24-hr shifts with some daytime nursery coverage.

  • 24-hour shifts providing coverage for pediatric admissions, inpatient unit, deliveries, and infusion clinic.

  • Supported by sub-specialists on Milwaukee campus with Children's transport team accessible.

  • Opportunity to participate in medical education. Research and QI work supported but not mandatory.

  • Will also see patients at ThedaCare Appleton Medical Center in Appleton, 7 miles to the north of Neenah.

  • For faculty roles only: Performs other duties as assigned by Chair or Chair-Designate.

Department/Division Highlights:

Children's Wisconsin Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine is comprised of 14 Faculty and 2 Advanced Practitioners located in Neenah, Wisconsin. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality, family-centered care to hospitalized infants, children, and adolescents in our community. We serve as the primary inpatient pediatric providers managing a wide range of acute and chronic pediatric conditions. The division is committed to improving outcomes through quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice, and interprofessional collaboration. Our team is engaged in medical education, supporting learners at various levels, and act as advocates for child health within the community. We value a culture of teamwork, compassion, and continuous learning to ensure the best possible care for every child and family we serve.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent)from an accredited institution.

  • Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics. Pediatric Hospital Medicine board certification not required.

  • State medical licensure, or eligibility to obtain license, in the state of Wisconsin.

  • For faculty roles only: Rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful finalist.
