Position: Tower Crane Technician
Location: Denver
Reports to: Branch Manager
RMS is looking to add an experienced Full Time Tower Crane Technician to our growing Branch. The following are a list of requirements; You must meet all the requirements below to be considered for this position.

Pay will be $36.00 - $55.00 an hour depending on experience, certifications held, and qualifications
Summary: Responsible for the safe and efficient erection and dismantling of Tower Cranes and maintaining tower crane fleet and equipment. Follows all State and Federal laws while operating motor vehicle. Obeys all safety and environmental policies while performing work on the job site.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient erection and dismantling of tower cranes
  • Responsible for maintaining tower crane fleet and equipment
  • Must be willing to work in adverse conditions
  • Must be able to read and understand operating manuals, parts manuals, and schematics
  • Must be capable of accomplishing tasks safely and independently without direct supervision
  • Must maintain conformity to safety standards and other regulations
  • Must know how to properly fill out work orders, time sheets and expense reports
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills required
  • Ability to work overtime as well as nights and weekends
  • Able to travel out of town on short notice for overnight and/or several days depending on job demands
  • Availability to be on call nights and weekends
  • Performs other job duties as assigned
  • Carries and answers phone in a prompt manner
  • At the end of each shift, reviews next days job assignments and prepares all necessary equipment for the next day/s.
  • Cleans, inspects, and organizes equipment in the shop and yard.
  • Able to read, interpret and calculate load percentages of cranes by utilizing load charts
  • Ability to program crane computers in the proper set-up mode, set up crane on location in a safe and professional manner.
  • Understands and can perform proper rigging techniques to ensure safe lifting of loads
  • Ability to provide and understand both verbal and visual crane signals
  • Ability to inspect pickup, crane, trailer, and other equipment, and fill out equipment inspection report prior to operating equipment
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain a company provided vehicle
  • NCCCO TWR Certification preferred
  • Training certifications such as electrical schematics, rigging, OSHA 10 or 30, NFPA, CPR/AED, NCCCO highly preferred

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least (2) year experience as a Tower Crane Technician, or any equivalent combination of education and experience is a plus.
  • Ability to safely lift over 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Trade school diploma preferred
  • Must have a current driver's license and clean MVR
