Job description

Join our Cardiothoracic Surgery Team!
Parkview Health is seeking a full-time, Board Eligible or Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our established and comprehensive team in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Position Highlights:
  • Full-time position
  • Typical Weekly Schedule: A blend of 1 dedicated office day, dedicated 2-3 days of OR time, rounding, consulting and administrative
  • Call: 1:4 rotation with first call handled by nursing staff and APPs, providing strong support and work-life balance for physicians
  • Robotic thoracic surgical training or experience is preferred, but not required
  • Experienced robotic-assisted thoracic surgeons on staff are available to provide hands-on guidance and mentorship to a new robotic surgeon.
  • The position is well-suited to a physician who enjoys teaching, as general surgery residents rotate with the team

Collaboration is central to our practice, with strong interdisciplinary relationships with Cardiology and regular participation in the PFCI tumor board.
About Our Team:
  • 4 CT surgeons, 2 Vascular surgeons, 3 OP APPs, and 5 IP APPs providing support.
  • Surgical support is provided by five dedicated inpatient APPs, including assistance with vein harvesting.
  • Supported by two highly experienced, tenured physicians with expertise in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery.
  • The role offers a broad cardiothoracic surgical practice, covering all standard procedures except VAD implantation and transplant surgeries.
