GCOM is looking for candidates, to fill a role of Specialist Level III, to join our NYS Integrated Eligibility Services (IES) Team located in Albany, NY.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analysis of user experience, journey mapping, behavioral economics, user insights, human centered design standards, interaction design, visual design, and information architecture from the following three projects/eligibility systems: New York State of Health, Access HRA, and another Integrated Eligibility System implemented in the last ten years in a state-supervised locally administered environment.
- Documentation of best practices for user experience, journey mapping, behavioral economics, user insights, human centered design, interaction design, visual design, and information architecture standards and deliverables to be added to each IES workstream's SDLC.
- Develop Strategy for content organization, UI branding, standardization on Styles & Themes, and Information Architecture for Responsive Design and Development of integrated eligibility system or human services integrated program delivered through web portal and native mobile apps.
- Design and Develop wireframes, mockups, story boards to facilitate conversion of the same into Prototypes for Integrated Eligibility System ecosystem specific unified web portal with content organized and contributed across various human services programs
- IES front end design for a generic release (without any workstream content) as early as summer 2021 for the public and Social Service District stakeholders to receive communications on the program and links to related or legacy sites prior to any workstream being live.
Qualifications:
- Level III- More than seven (7) years of Specialist Experience
- Five (5) years of experience in user experience design from state supervised/locally administered integrated eligibility system or human services integrated program portal/mobile app
- Certification in UX design or content strategy and information organization for human services programs
- Seven (7) years of experience in user experience (UX) design on full life cycle of design deliverables (wireframes, mockups, journey maps, story boards, user surveys, user testing)
- Experience deploying behavioral economics principles, content strategy& information organization on ten (10) or more projects/products
- Experience implementing design standards and completing designs on multiple product stacks
- Experience establishing user experience design and research standards for a large, complex project or firm practice (>$100 M)
- Experience reviewing user feedback through surveys, facilitated sessions, testing, and other methods and turning into actionable responsive designs/standards for an external team
- Five (5) years of experience facilitating end user feedback in human services on portal/front end/mobile app projects
- Facilitation of feedback from more than one hundred (100) end users for a large project/product line to incorporate into design thinking.
- One (1) or more years of user experience design experience in New York State or New York City government
- Multiple thought leadership publications/presentations (name on byline) on user experience design/research to a national or global journal, association, or conference
- Experience on the design of two (2) or more front ends that were Section 508 or ADA compliant
