Location: Alpharetta, GA - Onsite/Hybrid: 2 days/week in office
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
This position performs complex research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line. This is an exciting opportunity to learn cutting edge, and dynamic technology built to make "Big Data" management easier and simpler.?This role will include extracting, loading, cleansing, translating, manipulating, analyzing, visualizing massive amounts of data utilizing cutting edge technology and techniques along with migrating some of the processes/applications around the Big Data Technology to Azure.? This position will have the opportunity to work alongside talented colleagues with a variety of skills and business/industry content knowledge and will collaborate closely with internal business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver a product experience that aims to exceed customer expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
โ€ข 8+ years of Software Engineering experience
โ€ข BS Engineering/Computer Science experience required.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
โ€ข Hands on experience on Cloud Technologies - Azure, AWS.
โ€ข Ability to work with complex data models.
โ€ข Proficiency in development languages including but not limited to: Python, Java, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and JSON.
โ€ข Familiarity of industry best practices - code coverage.
โ€ข Experience working in software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
โ€ข Experience working with Git - GitLab/GitHub.
โ€ข Knowledge of test-driven development.
โ€ข Ability and desire to learn new processes and technologies.
โ€ข Excellent oral and written communications skills.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
โ€ข Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
โ€ข Complete moderate to complex bug fixes.
โ€ข Work closely with other development team members, Quality Analysts and Business to understand product requirements and translate them into software designs.
โ€ข Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
โ€ข Resolve technical issues as necessary.
โ€ข Keep abreast of new technological developments.
โ€ข Make major code design and changes to new & existing products and be a primary point of contact for products they develop or own.
