These roles involve performing hands on work in the fabrication, assembly, installation and repair of road, highway, traffic and informational signs. Responsibilities include operating stenciling machinery, computers and associated equipment in the preparation of signage, as well as using light equipment to transport and install signs.

These positions are distinguished from entry-level roles by the advanced knowledge of skills, and proficiency gained through training and experience. Required Qualifications Sign Technician II ( ($52,520 - $110,130 DOQ) High School Diploma or GED; supplemented by three (3) years' experience in public sign installation and repair, and the ability to perform labor intensive work within difficult environmental conditions to include frequent lifting, pulling and pushing of 100 lbs.; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Must obtain Basic Work Zone Traffic Control Certification within 6 months of hire. Must obtain Fork Lift Certification within 6 months of hire. Class "B" Commercial Drivers License.

Sign Technician III ($53,530 - $112,248 DOQ) High School Diploma or GED; supplemented by five (5) years' experience in public sign installation and repair, and the ability to perform labor intensive work within difficult environmental conditions to include frequent lifting, pulling and pushing of 100 lbs.; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must obtain Intermediate Work Zone Traffic Control Certification within 6 months of hire. Must obtain Fork Lift Certification within 6 months of hire

Class "B" Commercial Driver's License.
