Your keen observation skills, sound judgment, and professional approach will help create a safe and welcoming environment for customers, staff, and visitors.

As a Retail Security Guard, you'll spend the majority of your shift on your feet, conducting patrols throughout the store, monitoring for theft or suspicious activity, responding to incidents, and assisting customers and employees when needed. Physical stamina, strong communication skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure are essential to succeeding in this role.

Responsibilities for Retail Security Guard
  • Conduct regular patrols throughout the retail store to deter theft and ensure a safe environment for customers and staff
  • Monitor for suspicious activity, shoplifting, fraud, and other security concerns
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers and acting as a visible security presence
  • Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and customer concerns

Qualifications for Retail Security Guard
