Position Summary

This position is committed to providing world-class service for all Ford Idaho Center events. The Overnight Security position is responsible for ensuring the safety and security for all events. Special security assignments may be available during non-event days/nights. The security team is a provider of direct service to our guests and must exhibit a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.

This role pays an hourly rate of $16.00-$18.00.

About the Venue

This position is based at our Ford Idaho Center in Nampa, Idaho. The Ford Idaho Center features a variety of flexible spaces to host events of all types and sizes. The Ford Idaho Center is a unique combination of three venues under one complex: Ford Idaho Center Arena, Ford Idaho Sports Center, and Ford Idaho Center Amphitheater. The complex is flexible to meet the needs of events of all types and sizes. It is well-suited for social and entertainment events, Rodeos, Horse Shows, conventions, meetings, tradeshows, sporting events, and many more. 

Responsibilities
  • Secures building by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance cameras, and inspecting building, equipment, and access points.
  • Prevents losses and damages by reporting irregularities in cooler temperatures and HVAC equipment.
  • Respond to requests for assistance from FIC staff and visitors for a variety of security issues (fire, medical emergencies, etc.).
  • Performs all event and non-event security duties as assigned.
  • Conducts building safety inspections at appropriate times through the shift (normally does post-event safety checks).
  • Protects Arena, Amphitheater, and Horse Park equipment, materials, and structures throughout the work schedule.
  • Provides regular security functions within the venue and related areas prior to, during, and after all events.
  • Responsible for a clean, neat appearance with a complete FIC security uniform.
  • Receives, records, and returns all lost and found items according to established team procedures.
  • Performs horse stall checks and other assignments related to Horse Park events.
Qualifications
  • Prior security experience preferred, but not required.
  • Able to work overnight hours as assigned.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work beyond traditional business hours, including nights, weekends, and select holidays, is required.
  • Must demonstrate strong attention to detail.
  • Must have earned or have the ability to earn valid CPR certification.
  • Must demonstrate a positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
