Principle Accountabilities Include:
• Responsible for the health, safety, and general welfare of assigned campers for the entirety of each session
• Provide programming that is fun, while promoting growth and independence
• Engage and participate with campers in activities
• Responsible for communicating any concerns to the Cabin Leader
• Assist with daily hygiene and dressing of each assigned campers, as needed, including toileting, teeth brushing, choosing clean clothes, and feeding
• Acquire working knowledge of each assigned camper's profile, such as individual strengths, weaknesses, behavior patterns, medication, and side effects. Responsible for documenting the camper's likes and dislikes.
• Assist assigned campers with daily morning cleanup, including making beds, sweeping, and doing laundry as needed.
• Participate in activities, as assigned, providing one-on-one support as needed.
• Work cooperatively with team members and volunteers in adapting activities to meet the needs of campers
• Attend weekly team meetings, provide feedback on strengths and weaknesses of planned activities, offer suggestions, and participate in general sharing
• Assist with assigned camper evaluation forms and any documentation as needed.
• Submit program evaluation for each session, citing strengths, weaknesses and recommendations
• Attend the summer banquet and submit overall program evaluation
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Minimum age of 18 if residing on site. Minimum age of 16 to workday camp- (8:00am-4:00pm)
• Desire to work with persons who have disabilities.
• Love to be active, be outside, and swim.
• Ability to work 9 consecutive weeks. Summer schedule runs from June 1st to August 15th
• Ability to attend and successfully complete orientation.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.
• Ability to accept feedback and guidance.
• Ability to work with team members and campers in a professional and caring manner, demonstrating integrity and adaptability.
• Ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to an activity and to model and enforce appropriate safety and emergency procedures.
• Ability to assess appropriate behavior and apply behavior modifying techniques when needed.
• Ability to relate to one's peer group.
• Ability to obtain certification in Mandatory Reporter, CPR, First Aid.
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist and lift.
• Ability to transfer or move a minimum of 80 pounds.
• Prefer candidates to live on-site for the duration of the summer if you are over the age of 18 and able to move in on the day before orientation week starts. If ages 16-17 must be able to start work on the first day of orientation week.
• Ability to live in a communal living arrangement.

Salary Description
$2,000-$4,300 depending on experience, level & job
