Job Description

Harford Community College’s Workforce and Community Education sector is seeking qualified Youth Programming & Education Instructors. The College offers Youth Programs in a variety of subjects including, but not limited to, music, art, theater, science, technology, math, literacy, physical education, etc. Youth Programming is offered yearly for children ages 3-18. Programs are available on weekends, evenings, and week days.

Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, or the District of Columbia. Work is generally performed on the College campus unless otherwise specified.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States, as the College does not offer Visa sponsorship for this position.

Your application to this position will remain active through December 31 of the current year. If you are not selected by that time, you must reapply to be considered. If you apply on or after November 1 of the current year, your application will remain active through December 31 of the following calendar year.

Required Education

Proficiency in the area of study, and proof of certifications and other qualifications where applicable.

Required Experience

One year experience providing youth instruction or related experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Excellent communication skills.
Ability to coordinate the activities of several ongoing projects.
Ability to provide instruction in person, virtually, and/or online as required by the College.
Proficiency in required instructional and communication software as designated by the College.

Preferred Qualifications

Expertise in the field of study for the instructional assignment, including any certification or degree required to deliver instruction to meet required student outcomes.

General Weekly Work Schedule

Programs are available on weekends, evenings, and week days.
