Job description

Acuren Inspection is looking for a Rope Access Technicians to support our operations. Preference will be given to candidates with an NDT or mechanical trades background.  

The Rope Access technicians are responsible for managing the safety of crews engaged in rope access activities, to organize work functions specific to rope access jobs, and to supervise crews engaged in performing a broad range of technical and/or industrial services at heights. The role ensures individual and organizational compliance with IRATA standards and regulations to ensure the safe and effective performance of work. 


  • Perform specific job functions as they relate to work orders
  • Be conversant with relevant work techniques
  • Be able to demonstrate all the skills and knowledge required of a level 1 Rope Access Technician 
  • Assist other technicians as required
  • Ensure operational safety of all equipment

  • IRATA or SPRAT Level I Certification required including proficiency in theoretical knowledge, equipment and rigging, maneuvers, climbing and rescue/hauling
  • Valid drivers’ license preferred
  • Required certification levels for specific projects
  • Must have industrial refinery experience
  • Must have mechanical industrial experience
  • Preferred individual with the NCCER certification (Trained Individual)
