About the Role:Job SummaryNeuro ICU is an 18- bed Critical Care Unit with bedside monitors for hemodynamic monitoring. Neuro ICU serves as a dedicated stroke nursing unit. The unit provides comprehensive care to neuro patients requiring intense monitoring and nursing care. The unit cares for patients with:
- Ischemic stroke including those patients undergoing thrombectomy
- Hemorrhagic stroke including intracranial hemorrhage and subarachnoid hemorrhage and patients s/p coil embolization
- Cerebral edema and increased intracranial pressure
- Abnormal electrical activity of the brain for patients with intractable seizure
- Patients with other neurological disorders such as Guillain-Barre' Syndrome, Myasthenia Gravis, and ALS
- Patients with hemodynamic instability and/or airway and respiratory compromise
Licensure or other certifications: Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
Educational Requirements: Associate's Degree, ADN or Diploma required
Minimum Experience: At least 1 year of RN experience - Demonstrated competence in RN I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire
