Job description

Now Hiring: Live in Caregivers in the Northwest Suburban area!

For over 20 years, Right at Home Northwest Suburban has been helping seniors and disabled adults live more independent and fulfilling lives through trusted in-home care services.

At the heart of our organization are our Caregivers, who make this possible every day. We believe it's just as important to treat our Caregivers with dignity and respect as it is our clients.

Right at Home – Northwest Suburban Chicago offers a well-rounded benefits package designed to support caregivers both professionally and personally.

Benefits include:

Competitive Pay with opportunities for increases based on performance and experience
Flexible Scheduling with a variety of shifts to support work-life balance
Health Insurance Options for eligible employees
Paid Time Off so you can rest and recharge
Mileage Reimbursement for travel between client visits

Optional Early Wage Access (ZayZoon) – We pay biweekly, with the option to access earned wages before payday (small transaction fee applies)
Ongoing Training & Continuing Education to support skill-building and career growth
Supportive Office Team & Field Supervision with regular communication and guidance
Care Huddles, Trainings & Employee Events that encourage connection, learning, and recognition

Our caregivers work independently in clients’ homes, but they are fully supported by an engaged office team that values communication, reliability, and the important work being done in the field.

Caregiver Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of professional caregiving experience

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older

  • Passion for helping seniors and adults with disabilities

  • Reliable transportation

  • Patience, compassion, and strong communication skills

  • Ability to assist with transfers and mobility

  • Experience with memory care or cognitive impairments

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check

Caregiver Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, meals)

  • Provide companionship and emotional support

  • Monitor client health and document changes

  • Assist with mobility and physical activities

  • Administer medications as directed

  • Engage clients with memory care activities and routines

  • Perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe home environment

  • Work closely with healthcare teams to implement care plans

  • Provide specialized care for hospice and group home settings

We are seeking professional caregivers who recognize the responsibility that comes with being entrusted with someone’s safety, dignity, and daily well-being.

Compensation for this position is thoughtfully determined based on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and schedule availability.

The anticipated pay range for this role is $225-$275 per day, with final compensation determined at the time of offer.
