Are you an active or retired law enforcement officer seeking flexible and well-paying security opportunities in the prestigious North Shore communities of Evanston, Winnetka, Highland Park, and surrounding areas? P4 Security is actively hiring dedicated professionals like you to provide security services to businesses, residential communities, and higher education campuses. Earn $40 per hour and above while utilizing your training and experience to ensure safety and security in a dynamic environment.
Shifts Available:
โ€ข Day Shift
โ€ข Night Shift
โ€ข Third Shift
โ€ข Weekend Shift
Key Responsibilities:
โ€ข Provide a visible and vigilant security presence at static posts such as gatehouses, lobbies, front desks, and building access points.
โ€ข Conduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols of various North Shore locations including commercial sites (offices, retail centers), residential communities (gated neighborhoods, multifamily housing), and academic campuses (college/university buildings and grounds).
โ€ข Monitor for suspicious activity, safety concerns, and potential threats to persons or property.
โ€ข Deliver professional and courteous customer service to residents, tenants, employees, students, and guests.
โ€ข Enforce site-specific security policies, including access control and visitor management.
โ€ข Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, or emergency situations and escalate appropriately.
โ€ข Complete accurate Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and incident documentation, including unusual activity, safety hazards, trespassers, unauthorized access, and property damage.
โ€ข Maintain clear communication with site supervisors, law enforcement, and emergency responders when needed.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum: High School Diploma, GED, or Educational Requirements from the respective agencies.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal Background Check and Drug Screen.
  • Possess or obtain a valid PERC (Permanent Employee Registration Card) from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
  • For Active Law Enforcement Officers: Must present a valid VE-PEC (Verification of Employment - Professional Exemption Card) from IDFPR. Authorized firearm carry must comply with employer policies and Illinois law.
  • For Retired Law Enforcement Officers: Must possess a valid PERC and FCC (Firearm Control Card) if employed in an armed capacity. Must be certified under IROCC (Illinois Retired Officer Concealed Carry), including annual firearm qualification and proof of honorable separation. Must operate in accordance with all IDFPR rules for armed/unarmed private security personnel.
