Assured Information Security (AIS) is seeking a strategic leader to define and drive the company's long-term growth vision. In this role, you will align market expansion, opportunity capture, and strategic investments with corporate objectives ensuring AIS is positioned for success across DoD, USAF, the Intelligence Community, and emerging markets. You will lead high-impact business development, capture, and proposal functions while cultivating senior-level relationships, strengthening enterprise collaboration, and shaping the company's competitive posture in rapidly evolving mission areas. This position requires a Top Secret clearance.


What You'll Do:

  • Lead the enterprise Business Development vision and long term growth strategy, ensuring alignment with AIS's corporate objectives and strategic plan.
  • Guide market expansion across DoD, USAF, Intelligence Community, and emerging Federal sectors through strategic opportunity identification, investment prioritization, and competitive positioning.
  • Oversee the strategic opportunity pipeline and capture portfolio, directing win strategies for major pursuits and ensuring alignment with organizational capabilities and long range goals.
  • Cultivate senior level relationships across government and industry to shape future opportunities, anticipate market trends, and strengthen AIS's position as a mission partner.
  • Provide executive oversight of market analysis, segmentation, and competitive intelligence to inform enterprise planning, capability development, and strategic investments.
  • Ensure proposal development reflects AIS's strategic priorities and value propositions, maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and competitive differentiation
  • Lead and develops the Corporate BD, Capture, and Proposal teams, establishing performance expectations, leadership development pathways, and a culture grounded in AIS values and strategic excellence.
  • Set enterprise BD goals and growth targets, oversees strategic metrics, and ensures organizational focus on measurable long term outcomes.
  • Drive formation of strategic partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures that expand AIS's reach, diversify markets, and enhance competitive advantage.
  • Advise the CEO, C Suite, and Strategic Execution Team on growth strategies, market dynamics, organizational risk, and investment priorities.
  • Promote enterprise collaboration across Finance, Contracts, Operations, Engineering, HR, IT, and Security to ensure unified execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Strengthen BD systems, processes, and governance frameworks to support scalability, efficiency, and disciplined strategic execution.
  • Champion an innovative, collaborative, and strategically focused BD culture; mentors future BD leaders to ensure long term organizational capability.

 Education/Experience/Skillset Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field and 15 years experience in managing corporate business development activities or equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters in Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
  • 10+ years leading corporate business development for DoD and Intelligence Community clients
  • Deep experience with C5ISR, USAF C2, and Cyber technologies
  • Proven ability to market complex engineering services, including cybersecurity, reverse engineering, and embedded systems
  • Strong background in developing and executing short- and long-term strategic plans
  • Experience leading marketing efforts for USAF Mission Directorates, USAF Research Directorates, and the Intelligence Community
  • Extensive relationships across DoD, Intelligence Community, and prime contractor communities
  • Leadership experience managing business development and sales teams in remote/telework environments
  • Demonstrated success in pursuit and capture of systems development and integration programs
  • Strong client-facing skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with senior leadership, functional teams, and customers

Travel: 25%-50%

US Salary Range: $175,000 - $275,000 

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on several factors including location, skills, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package which includes employer paid health insurance and a 7% contribution to your 401k, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation.
